About Attorney Matthew Chin

Matthew Chin is a seasoned attorney who practices criminal defense and civil litigation. He handles cases in all fourteen counties across Massachusetts. 

Before opening his own private practice, Attorney Chin served as a prosecutor in the Plymouth County District Attorney's Office. During his tenure, he handled thousands of cases, ranging from simple misdemeanors to major felonies in Superior Court.

Attorney Chin spent time as a prosecutor representing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Hingham District Court, Wareham District Court, Plymouth District Court, Brockton District Court, Brockton Superior Court, Plymouth Superior Court, and in the Juvenile Courts. He also served as the Supervising District Attorney in the Hingham and Brockton District Court Offices. Attorney Chin credits his time as a prosecutor as the foundation for his criminal law expertise.

Attorney Chin received his Bachelor's Degree in political science and public policy from Hobart and William Smith Colleges. He went on to receive his Juris Doctor (JD) from Seattle University School of Law.

Attorney Chin is a life-long native of the South Shore, where he still lives with his wife and two daughters.
